Bonjournisimo. I am a journalist from London. Until January of this year, I held the position of Fashion Features Editor and Wardrobe Mistress columnist at The Sunday Times Style and ran pandorasykes.com as a fashion, travel and social commentary blog. When I left The Sunday Times, I shuttered the blog and turned this site into an online portfolio of my work.
I have written culture, social commentary and fashion pieces and celebrity interviews for titles including The Times, The Telegraph, The Sunday Times, Vogue Australia, New York Magazine’s The Cut, CNN, MATCHESFASHION.COM, Red magazine, Marie Claire, Net-a-Porter’s The Edit, The Coveteur, Man Repeller, i-D and The Spectator.
I am currently the co-host of a weekly pop-culture/ news podcast, The High Low, created by writer and journalist Dolly Alderton and myself. You can find us on iTunes and Soundcloud. Based on Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown’s concept of ‘high low journalism’ (or, if you like, a podcast to get you through both the highs and lows of life) The High Low has received half a million downloads within its first 6 months over its first 12 episodes and we are currently working with sponsors including Sainsbury’s and Nars. You can get in touch with us > email@example.com and follow us on Twitter @thehighlowshow. We also have a Good Reads page, so you can keep up with what we are reading, what we want to read, and what we have read and loved. Previously, we co-hosted The Pandolly Podcast for The Sunday Times Style.
As a stylist and/or brand consultant I have worked with emerging brands including Olivia Von Halle, Alice Archer, Charlotte Simone, Blake London, Paloma Blue, Marina London, Dodo Bar Or, All Things Mochi, Topshop, Rogues Matilda and Hunza G, with whom I launched a popular design collaboration in August 2016. Pandora Sykes x Hunza G was featured in publications including Refinery29, Vogue UK, Vogue US and Australia, Marie Claire, Elle Australia, WhoWhatWear, ManRepeller and Harpers Bazaar US. The collaboration is currently stocked at most luxury e-tailers including Net-a-Porter, Selfridges and Saks.
I have collaborated with brands including Chanel, Liberty London, Sunglass Hut, Cartier, Topshop, Estée Lauder, Selfridges and M&S.
As a broadcaster, I have spoken on panels for The Saatchi Gallery about selfie culture, ASOS, ShowStudio and Appear Here and appeared on BBC 4’s Woman’s Hour. I have both interviewed and been interviewed at The London Fashion Week Festival and in December, I hosted a film for Sadiq Khan’s #LondonIsOpen campaign.
